[Moses] said, "My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance] 25 and ease my task for me, 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 “In order that they may understand my speech.” 28 Appoint a deputy (for me) from my own people. 29 Aaron my brother 30 By him confirm my strength 31 "And make him share my task: 32 That we may exalt You much 33 And much remember Thee. 34 You are surely seeing us' 35 The Lord said, "Moses, your request is granted. 36 And certainly We bestowed on you a favor at another time; 37 When We inspired to your mother what We inspired, 38 'Put the baby into a chest and then throw him in the river. The river will throw him up on the shore, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him.' And I spread My love over you in order that you might be reared in My sight. 39 Then your sister followed you, and said (to the people who had retrieved the child): 'Should I guide you to a person who can nurse him?' We thus brought you back to your mother that her heart may be cheered, and she may not grieve. (Remember) when you killed a man We saved you from anguish; and tested and steeled you (in other ways). Afterwards you sojourned for several years with the people of Midian; then you came up to the measure, 40 I have chosen you for Myself. 41 "Go you and your brother with My Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and do not, you both, slacken and become weak in My Remembrance. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has waxed insolent; 43 "And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear Allah." 44 'O our Lord' both said, 'We fear lest he may be excessive against us or become insolent' 45 He said: "Have no fear. I am with you, hearing and seeing all. 46 They came to the Pharaoh and told him that they were the Messengerss of his Lord and that they wanted him to let the Israelites go with them and stop afflicting the Israelites with torment. They told the Pharaoh, "We have brought miracles from Our Creator. Peace be with those who follow the right guidance. 47 ‘It has indeed been revealed to us that the punishment is upon the one who denies and turns away.’” 48 He asked: "Who then is that Lord of yours, O Moses?" 49 He said, “Our Lord is One Who gave everything its proper shape, then showed the path.” 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a book, my Lord errs not, nor does He forget; 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 Eat [therefrom] and pasture your livestock. Indeed, in that are signs for those of intelligence. 54
