(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; 25 and make my task easy for me, 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 so that they may understand me. 28 And appoint for me a minister from my family - 29 Aaron my brother 30 by him confirm my strength, 31 and let him share my task, 32 so that we may glorify You much 33 And may make mention of Thee oft. 34 “Indeed You see us.” 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 “And indeed We had bestowed upon you a favour one more time.” 37 when We inspired thy mother with this inspiration: 38 "'Put him into a chest, then cast it into the river. The river will cast it on to the bank, and there he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and his.' I showered My love on you so that you might be reared under My watchful eye. 39 “When your sister went, then said, ‘Shall I show you the people who may nurse him?’ And We brought you back to your mother in order to soothe her eyes and that she may not grieve; and you killed a man, so We freed you from sorrow, and tested you to the maximum; you therefore stayed for several years among the people of Madyan; then you came (here) at an appointed time, O Moosa.” 40 And I chose you for Myself. 41 Go, thou and thy brother, with My tokens, and be not faint in remembrance of Me. 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 Then speak to him a gentle word haply he may mind or fear. 44 'O our Lord,' said Moses and Aaron, 'truly we fear he may exceed against us, or wax insolent.' 45 (The Lord) said: "Be not afraid. I am verily with you, and I hear and see. 46 So go ye unto him and say: Lo! we are two messengers of thy Lord. So let the children of Israel go with us, and torment them not. We bring thee a token from thy Lord. And peace will be for him who followeth right guidance. 47 "'Verily it has been revealed to us that the Penalty (awaits) those who reject and turn away.'" 48 Said Firaun, “So who is the Lord of you both, O Moosa?” 49 [Musa (Moses)] said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright." 50 He (Pharaoh) asked: 'How was it then, with the former generations' 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a book, my Lord errs not, nor does He forget; 52 It is He who has laid out the earth for you and traced routes in it and sent down water from the sky. We have brought forth every sort of plant with it, 53 Eat [therefrom] and pasture your livestock. Indeed, in that are signs for those of intelligence. 54
