Moses said: "O my Lord, enlarge my breast, 25 And make my mission easy. 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 so that they might fully understand my speech, 28 Appoint for me of my folk a familiar, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 "Add to my strength through him, 31 and let him share my task, 32 “In order that we may profusely proclaim Your Purity.” 33 And remember You much. 34 Surely Thou seest into us.' 35 Said He, 'Thou art granted, Moses, thy petition. 36 Indeed, We showed Our favour to you before also, 37 When We revealed to your mother what was revealed; 38 'Put the baby into a chest and then throw him in the river. The river will throw him up on the shore, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him.' And I spread My love over you in order that you might be reared in My sight. 39 "Behold! thy sister goeth forth and saith, 'shall I show you one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' So We brought thee back to thy mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve. Then thou didst slay a man, but We saved thee from trouble, and We tried thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses! 40 And I produced you for Myself. 41 "Go forth, [then,] thou and thy brother, with My messages, and never tire of remembering Me: 42 Then go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious. 43 "But speak to him mildly; perchance he may take warning or fear (Allah)." 44 They said: Our Lord! Lo! we fear that he may be beforehand with us or that he may play the tyrant. 45 He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with you twain, Hearing and Seeing. 46 So go to him, and say: verily we are two apostles of thy Lord, so let go with us the Children of Isra'il, and torment them not; surely we have come unto thee with a sign from thy Lord: and peace be upon him who followeth the guidance. 47 It is revealed to us that those who call our message a lie or turn away from it will face the torment." 48 He asked: "Who then is that Lord of yours, O Moses?" 49 [Musa (Moses)] said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright." 50 (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" 51 (Moses) replied: "Knowledge of that is with my Lord (recorded) in the Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 Who hath appointed for you the earth as a bed, and hath opened for you therein pathways, and hath sent down from the heaven water, and thereby We have brought forth kinds of plants, various. 53 so eat and graze your cattle. In this there are signs for men of understanding. 54
