(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 And ease for me my task 26 And loose a knot from my tongue, 27 “In order that they may understand my speech.” 28 And appoint for me a minister from my household. 29 “That is Haroon, my brother.” 30 Add Thou through him to my strength, 31 And share my task, 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 and remember You much: 34 “Indeed You see us.” 35 Said He: "Thou art granted all that thou hast asked for, O Moses! 36 "And indeed, We bestowed Our favour upon thee at a time long since past, 37 when We revealed what was revealed unto thy mother: 38 "Saying: 'Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.' And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye, 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 And I produced you for Myself. 41 “You and your brother, both go with My signs, and do not slacken in My remembrance.” 42 go forth, both of you, unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity! 43 “And speak to him courteously, that perhaps he may ponder or have some fear.” 44 They said: Our Lord! Lo! we fear that he may be beforehand with us or that he may play the tyrant. 45 [Allah] said, "Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see. 46 So go ye unto him and say: Lo! we are two messengers of thy Lord. So let the children of Israel go with us, and torment them not. We bring thee a token from thy Lord. And peace will be for him who followeth right guidance. 47 Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.' " 48 He said: who is the Lord of you twain, O Musa! 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 He said: Then what is the state of the former generations? 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 He it is Who spread the earth for you; and made in it paths for you, and sent down water from the sky, and then through it We brought forth many species of diverse plants. 53 Do you eat, and pasture your cattle! Surely in that are signs for men possessing reason. 54
