He said: my Lord! expand for me my breast. 25 and make my task easy for me, 26 Loosen the knot in my tongue, 27 "That they understand my speech, 28 and appoint for me, from my household, someone who will help me bear my burden - 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 "Increase my strength with him, 31 and let him share my task, 32 “In order that we may profusely proclaim Your Purity.” 33 and remember Thee without cease! 34 "Verily! You are of us Ever a Well-Seer." 35 He said: "Moses, your petition is granted. 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on you another time (before). 37 when We revealed what was to be made known to your mother, 38 [Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye. 39 Your sister went to them and said, "May I show you someone who will nurse this child?" We returned you to your mother to make her rejoice and forget her grief. You slew a man and We saved you from trouble. We tried you through various trials. Then you stayed some years with the people of Midian (Shu'ayb and his family) and after that you came back to Egypt as was ordained. 40 I chose you for Myself. 41 go therefore, thou and thy brother; with My signs, and neglect not to remember Me. 42 Go, both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds. 43 Speak to him with gentle words; perhaps he will ponder or fear' 44 They said, "Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress." 45 Answered He: "Fear not! Verily, I shall be with you two, hearing and seeing [all]. 46 "So go you both to him, and say: 'Verily, we are Messengers of your Lord, so let the Children of Israel go with us, and torment them not; indeed, we have come with a sign from your Lord! And peace will be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 it has been revealed to us that punishment shall overtake him who rejects it and turns away!'" 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 Musa said: our Lord is He who vouchsafed unto everything its creation, then guided it. 50 Pharaoh said, 'And what of the former generations?' 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a Record. My Lord neither erreth nor forgetteth, 52 It is God who has made the earth as a cradle for you with roads for you to travel. He has sent water from the sky to produce various pairs of plants. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle: verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 54
