Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe? 30 We placed firm mountains on earth lest it would shake them away. We made wide roads for them so that they might have the right guidance. 31 and We made the sky a secure canopy; and yet they turn away from these Signs. 32 It is God who has created the night, the day, the Sun, and Moon and has made them swim in a certain orbit. 33 We granted not to any man before thee permanent life (here): if then thou shouldst die, would they live permanently? 34 Every soul shall taste death; We test you with both good and evil [circumstances] as a trial. To Us you shall return. 35 When the unbelievers behold thee, they take thee only for mockery: 'Ha, is this the one who makes mention of your gods?' Yet they in the Remembrance of the All-merciful are unbelievers. 36 Man has been created hasty; very soon I shall show you My signs, do not be impatient. 37 And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?" 38 If only those who disbelieve have known of the time when they shall not be able to ward off from their faces the Fire nor from their backs, nor shall they be succoured! 39 The fire will suddenly strike and confound them. They will not be able to repel it, nor will they be given any respite. 40 And indeed the Noble Messengers before you were mocked at, but their mockery ruined the mockers themselves. 41
