Say: 'Who will guard you, by night and by day from the Merciful' But no, they turn away from their Lord's remembrance. 42 Do they have other deities who can defend them against Us? They cannot even help themselves, neither can they be aided against Us. 43 Nay, We gave provision to these and their fathers until life was prolonged to them. Do they not then see that We are visiting the land, curtailing it of its sides? Shall they then prevail? 44 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "I warn you only by the revelation (from Allah and not by the opinion of the religious scholars and others). But the deaf (who follow the religious scholars and others blindly) will not hear the call, (even) when they are warned [(i.e. one should follow only the Quran and the Sunnah (legal ways, orders, acts of worship, statements of Prophet Muhammad SAW, as the Companions of the Prophet SAW did)]. 45 And if a breath (minor calamity) of the Torment of your Lord touches them, they will surely cry: "Woe unto us! Indeed we have been Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.). 46 And We will set up a just balance on the day of resurrection, so no soul shall be dealt with unjustly in the least; and though there be the weight of a grain of mustard seed, (yet) will We bring it, and sufficient are We to take account. 47 And We had already given Moses and Aaron the criterion and a light and a reminder for the righteous 48 who stand in awe of their Sustainer although He is beyond the reach of human perception, and who tremble at the thought of the Last Hour. 49 This is a blessed Reminder that we have revealed: Will ye then reject it? 50
