Al-Anbyaa' 5 of 7
۞ And assuredly We vouchsafed unto Ibrahim his rectitude aforetime, and him We had ever known. 51 when he said to his father and his people, 'What are these statues unto which you are cleaving?' 52 They said, "We found our fathers worshippers of them." 53 He said: assuredly ye, ye and your fathers, have been in error manifest. 54 They said: "Are you speaking in earnest, or only jesting?" 55 He said, 'Nay, but your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth who originated them, and I am one of those that bear witness thereunto. 56 And [I swear] by Allah, I will surely plan against your idols after you have turned and gone away." 57 So he made them into fragments, except a large one among them, that they might return to it [and question]. 58 They said: Who hath done this to our gods? Surely it must be some evil-doer. 59 They said, "We heard a young man mention them who is called Abraham." 60 "Bring him before the people," they said, "that they may bear witness." 61 They said: Is it thou who hast done this to our gods, O Abraham? 62 [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Nay, this one, the biggest of them (idols) did it. Ask them, if they can speak!" 63 And so they turned upon one another, saying, "Behold, it is you who are doing wrong." 64 Then crestfallen (they confessed): "Truly, as you know, they cannot speak." 65 He said, “What! You worship, instead of Allah, one that neither benefits you nor harms you?” 66 "Fie upon you, and upon that which you worship besides Allah! Have you then no sense?" 67 They said: burn him, and succour your gods, if ye will be doing. 68 Allah said, "O fire, be coolness and safety upon Abraham." 69 and whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We caused them to suffer the greatest loss: 70 and We saved him and Lot and brought him to the land upon which We had bestowed Our blessings for all the people of the world. 71 And We bestowed him Ishaq, and Yaqub the grandson; and We made all of them worthy of Our proximity. 72 We made them leaders who guided people by Our command. We revealed to them the doing of good, observance of prayer and the giving of alms and Us alone did they worship. 73 And Lot -- to him We gave judgment and knowledge; and we delivered him from the city that had been doing deeds of corruption; they were an evil people, truly ungodly; 74 And We admitted him into Our mercy. Verily he was of the righteous. 75

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
