And Nuh! recall what time he cried aforetime; so we answered him and delivered him and his household from a calamity mighty. 76 And We helped him against the people who rejected Our signs as lies. They were a wicked people indeed, so We drowned them one and all. 77 And Dawood and Sulaiman when they gave judgment concerning the field when the people's sheep pastured therein by night, and We were bearers of witness to their judgment. 78 And We explained the case to Sulaiman; and to both We gave the kingdom and knowledge; and subjected the hills to proclaim the Purity along with Dawud, and (also subjected) the birds; and these were Our works. 79 We taught him the craft of making garments that fortify you against your own violence. Are you thankful? 80 And We subdued the strongly raging wind to Solomon which blew at his bidding towards the land We blessed. We know everything. 81 And some of the satans dived for him and others did work as well. We were watching over them. 82 ۞ And Job -- when he called unto his Lord, 'Behold, affliction has visited me, and Thou art the most merciful of the merciful.' 83 So We answered his call, and We removed the distress that was on him, and We restored his family to him (that he had lost), and the like thereof along with them, as a mercy from Ourselves and a Reminder for all who worship Us. 84 Remember Ishmael and Idris and Dhul Kifl: they were all patient and steadfast. 85 And We caused them to enter into Our mercy, surely they were of the good ones. 86 And ThulNun (Prophet Jonah), he went away in anger thinking We had no power over him. But in the darkness he cried: 'There is no god except You. Exaltations to You! I was among the harmdoers' 87 Thereupon We accepted his prayer, and rescued him from grief. Thus do We rescue the believers. 88 And [mention] Zechariah, when he called to his Lord, "My Lord, do not leave me alone [with no heir], while you are the best of inheritors." 89 So We heard him and gave him John, and cured his wife (of barrenness). These were men who vied in good deeds with one another, and prayed to Us with love and awe, and were meek before Us. 90 And (remember) she who guarded her chastity [Virgin Maryam (Mary)], We breathed into (the sleeves of) her (shirt or garment) [through Our Ruh - Jibrael (Gabriel)], and We made her and her son ['Iesa (Jesus)] a sign for Al-'Alamin (the mankind and jinns). 91 Indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so worship Me. 92 And they broke their religion (into sects) between them: to Us shall all come back. 93
