Pilgrimage (Al-Hajj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ O people, fear your Lord; indeed the earthquake of the Last Day is a tremendous thing. 1 On that Day you will see every one that suckles shall forsake her suckling, and every carrier shall miscarry, and you shall see mankind drunk although they are not drunk; dreadful will be the punishment of Allah. 2 Among mankind is he who disputeth concerning Allah without knowledge, and followeth each froward devil; 3 it has been decreed concerning anyone whom he befriends, that he shall mislead him and guide him to the punishment of the Fire. 4 O mankind! If you are in doubt about the Resurrection, then verily! We have created you (i.e. Adam) from dust, then from a Nutfah (mixed drops of male and female sexual discharge i.e. offspring of Adam), then from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood) then from a little lump of flesh, some formed and some unformed (miscarriage), that We may make (it) clear to you (i.e. to show you Our Power and Ability to do what We will). And We cause whom We will to remain in the wombs for an appointed term, then We bring you out as infants, then (give you growth) that you may reach your age of full strength. And among you there is he who dies (young), and among you there is he who is brought back to the miserable old age, so that he knows nothing after having known. And you see the earth barren, but when We send down water (rain) on it, it is stirred (to life), it swells and puts forth every lovely kind (of growth). 5 That is because Allah is the Truth; He revives the dead and has power over all things. 6 And because the hour is coming, there is no doubt about it; and because Allah shall raise up those who are in the graves. 7 Yet there are some who contend about God without any knowledge or guidance or enlightening Book, 8 Turning away haughtily that he may lead (others) astray from the way of Allah; for him is disgrace in this world, and on the day of resurrection We will make him taste the punishment of burning: 9 "That is for what your hands have put forth and because Allah is not ever unjust to [His] servants." 10
