Pilgrimage (Al-Hajj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ People, have fear of your Lord; the quake (of the physical realm) at the Hour of Doom will be terribly violent. 1 The Day you shall see it, every nursing mother will forget her nursling, and every pregnant one will drop her load, and you shall see mankind as in a drunken state, yet they will not be drunken, but severe will be the Torment of Allah. 2 And among mankind is he who disputes concerning Allah, without knowledge, and follows every rebellious (disobedient to Allah) Shaitan (devil) (devoid of each and every kind of good). 3 although it is decreed about him that he shall lead into error whosoever takes him for a friend, and will direct him to the torment of the Fire. 4 O people! if you are in doubt about the raising, then surely We created you from dust, then from a small seed, then from a clot, then from a lump of flesh, complete in make and incomplete, that We may make clear to you; and We cause what We please to stay in the wombs till an appointed time, then We bring you forth as babies, then that you may attain your maturity; and of you is he who is caused to die, and of you is he who is brought back to the worst part of life, so that after having knowledge he does not know anything; and you see the earth sterile land, but when We send down on it the water, it stirs and swells and brings forth of every kind a beautiful herbage. 5 That is because Allah is the Truth; He revives the dead and has power over all things. 6 The Hour will come without a doubt, and God will raise those who are dead. 7 And among mankind is he who disputeth concerning Allah without knowledge or guidance or a scripture giving light, 8 scornfully turning aside [from the truth] so as to lead [others] astray from the path of God. Disgrace [of the spirit] is in store for him in this world; and on the Day of Resurrection We shall make him taste suffering through fire; 9 That is because of that which thy hands have sent forth, and verily Allah is not a wronger of His bondmen. 10
