The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 2 who turn away from idle talk; 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 who guard their privates, 5 Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame, 6 But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors - 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 These are they who are the heirs, 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 and then We cause him to remain as a drop of sperm in [the wombs] firm keeping, 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 We have created seven ways above you; of Our creation, We are never inattentive. 17 And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease). 18 Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat; 19 Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil, and relish for those who use it for food. 20 And behold, in the cattle [too] there is indeed a lesson for you: We give you to drink of that [milk] which is within their bellies; and you derive many [other] uses from them: for, you eat of their flesh, 21 And on them, as well as in ships, ye ride. 22
