The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 They who are during their prayer humbly submissive 2 and who turn away from all that is frivolous, 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 And they who guard their private parts 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 (but whosoever seeks after more than that, those are the transgressors) 7 And who are shepherds of their pledge and their covenant, 8 to their promise, 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 who will inherit Paradise; they shall live there for ever. 11 And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 After that, at length ye will die 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 We have created seven paths above you; We have never been unmindful of Our creation. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 And created the tree that comes forth from Mount Sinai – that grows containing oil and curry for the eaters. 20 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; 21 And on them and on the ships you are borne. 22
