O ye messengers! enjoy (all) things good and pure, and work righteousness: for I am well-acquainted with (all) that ye do. 51 “And indeed this religion of yours is one religion only and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me.” 52 But the people divided their religion among them into sects - each faction, in what it has, rejoicing. 53 But leave them alone, lost in their ignorance, until a [future] time. 54 Do they think that We are helping them by giving them children and property? 55 We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand. 56 Lo! those who go in awe for fear of their Lord. 57 Those who believe in the Signs of their Lord; 58 And those who join not anyone (in worship) as partners with their Lord; 59 who spend their property for the cause of God, and whose hearts are afraid of their return 60 those, hasten in good works, outracing to them. 61 And We tax not any person except according to his capacity, and with Us is a Record which speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 Nay, but their hearts are in perplexity as to this, and they have deeds besides that that they are doing. 63 But when We seize with the punishment those of them that live in ease, they groan. 64 "Do not supplicate for help today; you will not be rescued by Us; 65 My signs were recited to you, but upon your heels you withdrew, 66 Stiff-necked, discoursing thereof by night, reviling. 67 Have they not pondered the saying, or came there upon them that which came not upon their fathers, the ancients? 68 Or is it that they did not recognise their Noble Messenger, therefore they consider him alien? 69 or you said that he is possessed by satan? In fact, he has brought you the truth, but most of you dislike it. 70 Had truth been subject to their whims the heavens and the earth and all those within them would have been depraved. In fact We had sent them their reminder, but they turned away from good advice. 71 Or do you ask of them any tribute? In that case the tribute of your Lord is better, for He is the best of providers. 72 You are calling them to a Straight Way, 73 But indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path. 74 ۞ And even if We gave them mercy and removed what was upon them of affliction, they would persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 And indeed, We tested them through suffering, but they did not abase themselves before their Sustainer; and they will never humble themselves 76 when We opened on them a gate of severe punishment, they utterly despaired. 77
