O you apostles, eat things that are clean, and do things that are good. We are surely cognisant of what you do. 51 And verily, this community of yours is one single community, since I am the Sustainer of you all: remain, then, conscious of Me! 52 Yet they divided themselves into factions, each rejoicing in what they had. 53 But leave them in their confused ignorance for a time. 54 Deem they that in the wealth and sons wherewith We enlarge them. 55 We provide them with the means of competing with each other in virtuous deeds, but they do not realize this. 56 Verily those who for fear of their Lord are in awe. 57 And those who in the signs of their Lord do believe. 58 And they who do not associate anything with their Lord 59 And those who give that which they give with hearts afraid because they are about to return unto their Lord, 60 These race for the good things, and they shall win them in the race. 61 We charge no soul with more than it can bear. We have a Book with Us which speaks the truth, and they shall not be wronged. 62 In fact, the hearts of the unbelievers are in the dark because of their ignorance of real virtue; they act against it. 63 But when We seize with the punishment those of them that live in ease, they groan. 64 We shall tell them, "Do not cry for help on this day; you will receive none from Us". 65 “My verses were recited to you, so you used to turn back on your heels.” 66 In pride (they Quraish pagans and polytheists of Makkah used to feel proud that they are the dwellers of Makkah sanctuary Haram), talking evil about it (the Quran) by night. 67 Was it that you did not give any thought to it (the Quran)? Was it different from what was revealed to your fathers? 68 Or did they not recognise their Messenger and so denied him? 69 or you said that he is possessed by satan? In fact, he has brought you the truth, but most of you dislike it. 70 If truth had followed their whims and desires, heavens and earth and all that lives in them would have been brought to ruin. Rather We have brought them their Reminder. Yet they keep avoiding their Reminder. 71 Do you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) ask any fee from them? So the reward of your Lord is the best; and He is the Best Provider of Sustenance. 72 and, most surely, you are calling them to a straight path. 73 And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are from the path deviating. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering in distraction to and fro. 75 We seized them with the punishment, but they did not surrender to their Lord, nor will they humble themselves 76 until We opened the gate of greater torment (death) and they suddenly found themselves in despair. 77
