O Ye apostles! eat the good things and work righteously; verily of that which ye work I am the Knower. 51 And verily! This your religion (of Islamic Monotheism) is one religion, and I am your Lord, so keep your duty to Me. 52 Yet they divided themselves into factions, each rejoicing in what they had. 53 Wherefore leave thou them in their bewilderment for a season. 54 Do they think that by all the wealth and offspring with which We provide them 55 We hasten in good works for them? No, they are not aware. 56 Surely those who live in awe of their Lord, 57 And those who believe in the signs of their Lord – 58 And those who with their Lord associate not anyone. 59 And they who give what they give while their hearts are fearful because they will be returning to their Lord - 60 These hasten to good things and they are foremost in (attaining) them. 61 And We do not burden any soul beyond its capacity, and with Us is a Book* that speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. (* The preserved tablet or the record of one’s deeds.) 62 Nay, but their hearts are covered (blind) from understanding this (the Quran), and they have other (evil) deeds, besides, which they are doing. 63 Until when We overtake those who lead easy lives among them with punishment, lo! they cry for succor. 64 Do not cry out for help this day, for surely you shall not be helped by Us. 65 Our revelations had certainly been recited to you, but you turned your backs to them 66 "In arrogance: talking nonsense about the (Qur'an), like one telling fables by night." 67 Have they not pondered the matter, or did that come to them, which did not come to their forefathers? 68 Or is it that they have not recognized their Apostle, so that they deny him? 69 or you said that he is possessed by satan? In fact, he has brought you the truth, but most of you dislike it. 70 Had the truth followed their fancies, the heavens, the earth, and all who live in them would have surely been corrupted. No, We brought them their Remembrance; but from their Remembrance they turn away. 71 Or dost thou ask of them (O Muhammad) any tribute? But the bounty of thy Lord is better, for He is Best of all who make provision. 72 And most surely you invite them to a right way. 73 And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are from the path deviating. 74 ۞ And even if We gave them mercy and removed what was upon them of affliction, they would persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 We had seized them with the punishment, but they did not bow before their Lord nor turned to Him in humility, 76 until We open before them a gate of harsh punishment and then they will be dumbfounded. 77
