'O Messengers, eat of the good things and do righteousness; surely I know the things you do. 51 And surely this your religion is one religion and I am your Lord, therefore be careful (of your duty) to Me. 52 But they (mankind) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its tenets. 53 So leave them immersed in their heedlessness till an appointed time. 54 Do they assume that the wealth and sons which We provide them – 55 We hasten unto them with good things (in this worldly life so that they will have no share of good things in the Hereafter)? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Those who tremble in fear of their Lord, 57 who have full faith in the Signs of their Lord; 58 Who do not associate any one with their Lord, 59 who give what they give, with their hearts quaking, that they will return to their Lord: 60 These hasten to good things and they are foremost in (attaining) them. 61 We do not lay a burden on anyone beyond his capacity. We have a Book with Us that speaks the truth (about everyone); and they shall in no wise be wronged. 62 On the contrary, their hearts are in neglect of this and their works are different than those of the believers, the works that they are doing. 63 So that when We seize the affluent among them with affliction, they will begin to implore for help. 64 (We shall say): 'Do not groan today, surely you shall receive no help from Us' 65 My revelations were recited to you, but you turned your backs 66 [and,] impelled by your arrogance, you would talk senselessly far into the night." 67 Then have they not reflected over the Qur'an, or has there come to them that which had not come to their forefathers? 68 Or is it, perchance, that they have not recognized their Apostle, and so they disavow him? 69 Or do they say, "He is possessed"? Nay, he has brought them the Truth, but most of them hate the Truth. 70 If the Truth had been in accord with their desires, truly the heavens and the earth, and all beings therein would have been in confusion and corruption! Nay, We have sent them their admonition, but they turn away from their admonition. 71 Or is it that you (O Muhammad SAW) ask them for some wages? But the recompense of your Lord is better, and He is the Best of those who give sustenance. 72 You are surely calling them to the right path. 73 but those who disbelieve the life hereafter deviate from the right path. 74 ۞ And even were We to show them mercy and remove whatever distress might befall them [in this life,] they would still persist in their overweening arrogance, blindly stumbling to and fro. 75 And indeed, We tested them through suffering, but they did not abase themselves before their Sustainer; and they will never humble themselves 76 So that when at last We open up the gate of severe punishment on them they will be overwhelmed with despair. 77
