1/2 Hizb 35

O apostles! eat of the good things and do good; surely I know what you do. 51 And verily, this community of yours is one single community, since I am the Sustainer of you all: remain, then, conscious of Me! 52 The people divided themselves into many sects, each with their own book and each happy with whatever they had. 53 So leave them to their ignorance for a time. 54 Do they think that by increasing their wealth and children 55 We provide them with the means of competing with each other in virtuous deeds, but they do not realize this. 56 Indeed those who are overwhelmed due to the fear of their Lord 57 And they who believe in the signs of their Lord 58 who consider nothing equal to their Lord, 59 and those who give what they give, their hearts quaking that they are returning to their Lord -- 60 These are hastening on to good, and they are therein foremost. 61 We do not impose on any soul what is beyond its capacity. We have the Book which speaks the truth and no injustice will be done to it. 62 On the contrary, their hearts are in neglect of this and their works are different than those of the believers, the works that they are doing. 63 until We seize with Our chastisement those of them that are given to luxuriant ways. They will then begin to groan. 64 Implore not today; verily ye from Us are not to be succoured. 65 Surely My signs have been rehearsed unto you, and upon your heel ye were wont to draw back. 66 In arrogance regarding it, conversing by night, speaking evil. 67 Should they not think upon the saying? Or, did anything come upon them that had not come upon their ancient forefathers? 68 Or did you not recognize your Messenger and, thus, denied him (Muhammad) 69 Or they say, “He is afflicted by a demon”; in fact he brought the Truth to them, and most of them dislike the Truth. 70 But if the truth were in accord with their own likes and dislikes, the heavens and the earth would surely have fallen into ruin, and all that lives in them [would long ago have perished]! Nay, [in this divine writ] We have conveyed unto them all that they ought to bear in mind: and from this their reminder they [heedlessly] turn away! 71 Or is it that you ask them a recompense? But the recompense of your Lord is best, and He is the best of those who provide sustenance. 72 And indeed you call them to the Straight Path. 73 but those who disbelieve in the Everlasting Life deviate from the Path. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed their afflictions, they would still persist in their insolence, blindly wandering. 75 Already have We grasped them with punishment, but they humble not themselves unto their Lord, nor do they pray, 76 Until We open on them a gate leading to a severe Punishment: then Lo! they will be plunged in despair therein! 77
