It was He who produced for you hearing, eyes, and hearts, yet little is that you thank. 78 It is He who scattered you in the earth, and to Him you shall be mustered. 79 It is He who revives and makes to die, and to Him belong the alternation of the night and the day. Will you not understand! 80 Aye! they say the like of that which said the ancients. 81 They say: when we are dead, and have become dust and bones, shall we verily be raised up? 82 We were promised such things and so were our forefathers before us. All these are no more than tales of the past." 83 Say, [O Muhammad], "To whom belongs the earth and whoever is in it, if you should know?" 84 They will quickly reply, "It belongs to God." Say, "Will you not, then, take heed?" 85 Say: "Who is (the) Lord of the seven heavens, and (the) Lord of the Great Throne?" 86 Thereupon they will say, “Such greatness is only that of Allah”; say, “So why do you not fear?” 87 Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 12, Page 145] 88 'Allah' they will reply. Say: 'How then can you be so bewitched' 89 We have brought before them the Truth, and there is no doubt that they are lying. 90 Allah has not chosen any child, nor any other God along with Him – were it so, each God would have taken away its creation, and each one would certainly wish superiority over the other; Purity is to Allah above all the matters they fabricate. 91 knowing all that is beyond the reach of a created being's perception as well as all that can be witnessed by a creature's senses or mind and hence, sublimely exalted is He above anything to which they may ascribe a share in His divinity! 92
