It was He who produced for you hearing, eyes, and hearts, yet little is that you thank. 78 It is He who scattered you in the earth, and to Him you shall be mustered. 79 It is He who revives and makes to die, and to Him belong the alternation of the night and the day. Will you not understand! 80 On the contrary they say things similar to what the ancients said. 81 They say: "Is it that when we are dead and have been reduced to dust and bones, shall we then be raised up again? 82 Indeed, this [very thing] we have been promised - we and our forefathers - long ago! This is nothing but fables of ancient times!" 83 (Muhammad), say to them, "Tell me, if you know, to whom does the earth and its contents belong?" 84 They will quickly reply, "It belongs to God." Say, "Will you not, then, take heed?" 85 Say thou: who is Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the mighty throne? 86 They will say, "(They belong) to Allah." Say: "Will ye not then be filled with awe?" 87 Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 12, Page 145] 88 They will say: Unto Allah (all that belongeth). Say: How then are ye bewitched? 89 We have sent them the truth and they, certainly, are liars. 90 Allah hath not betaken to Himself any son, and there is not along Him any god; else each god would have gone off with that which he had created, and one of them would have exalted himself above the others. Hallowed be Allah above that which they ascribe! 91 knowing all that is beyond the reach of a created being's perception as well as all that can be witnessed by a creature's senses or mind and hence, sublimely exalted is He above anything to which they may ascribe a share in His divinity! 92
