Say thou; my Lord! if Thou wilt shew me that wherewith they are threatened. 93 O my Lord, put me not among the people of the evildoers.' 94 [Pray thus] for, behold, We are most certainly able to let thee witness [the fulfillment, even in this world, of] whatever We promise them! 95 [But whatever they may say or do,] repel the evil [which they commit] with something that is better: We are fully aware of what they attribute [to Us]. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I seek refuge in You from evil suggestions of the satans. 97 “And my Lord, (I seek) Your refuge from their coming to me.” 98 [AS FOR THOSE who will not believe in the life to come, they go on lying to themselves] until, when death approaches any of them, he prays: "O my Sustainer! Let me return, let me return [to life,] 99 "So that I may do good in that which I have left behind!" No! It is but a word that he speaks, and behind them is Barzakh (a barrier) until the Day when they will be resurrected. 100 Then, when the trumpet [of resurrection] is blown, no ties of kinship will on that Day prevail among them, and neither will they ask about one another. 101 then those whose scales weigh heavy with good works will be successful. 102 But those whose scales are light - those are the ones who have lost their souls, [being] in Hell, abiding eternally. 103 The Fire will burn their faces, and they will therein grin, with their lips displaced. 104 (They will be told), "Were Our revelations not recited to you and did you not call them lies?" 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our wretchedness overcame us, and we were (an) erring people. 106 Our Lord! Oh, bring us forth from hence! If we return (to evil) then indeed we shall be wrong-doers. 107 He will say: "Be ye driven into it (with ignominy)! And speak ye not to Me! 108 You are those that when a party of My servants said: 'Our Lord, we believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful,' 109 Then ye took them mockingly, so that they caused you to forget remembrance of Me, and at them ye were wont to laugh. 110 Now today I have recompensed them for their patient endurance; they are the triumphant.' 111 He will say: "What number of years did ye stay on earth?" 112 They will reply. "We remained for about a day or part of it, but ask those who have kept count". 113 He will say: "You stayed only for a while, if you only knew that. 114 "Do you imagine that We created you without any purpose and that you would not be brought back to Us?" 115 So Exalted be Allah, the True King, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne! 116 And whoever invokes besides Allah another deity for which he has no proof - then his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed. 117 Say, "Lord, forgive us and have mercy. You are the best of those who show mercy." 118
