Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 My Lord, then do not place me among the wrongdoing people." 94 [Pray thus] for, behold, We are most certainly able to let thee witness [the fulfillment, even in this world, of] whatever We promise them! 95 Repel evil with what is best, We are well aware of the things they say, 96 Say: "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the evil promptings of the devils. 97 "And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! lest they may attend (or come near) me." 98 Until, when death comes to one of them he says: 'My Lord, let me go back, 99 That I may work righteously in that which I have left. By no means! It is but a word he uttereth; and before them is a barrier until the Day when they shall be raised. 100 And when the Horn is blown, on that Day their ties of kindred shall be no more, nor will they ask each other. 101 And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who are the successful. 102 And the ones whose scales prove light – it is they who put their lives into ruin, remaining in hell forever. 103 The fire shall scorch their faces, and they therein shall be in severe affliction. 104 [It will be said]. "Were not My verses recited to you and you used to deny them?" 105 They will exclaim: "O our Sustainer! Our bad luck has overwhelmed us, and so we went astray! 106 Lord, take us out of this and if we sin again, we shall certainly be unjust". 107 He will say: 'Slink there in it and do not speak to Me' 108 Among My worshipers there were a party who said: "Lord, we believed. Forgive us and have mercy on us: You are the Best of the merciful." 109 But you ridiculed them. So much so that out of (spite) for them you forgot to remember Me and laughed at them. 110 Lo! I have rewarded them this day forasmuch as they were steadfast in that they, even they, are the triumphant. 111 He will say, “How long did you stay on earth, counting by the number of years? 112 They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep account." 113 He will say, "You stayed not but a little - if only you had known. 114 Did you imagine that We created you without any purpose, and that you will not be brought back to Us?" 115 So, exalted be Allah, the True King! There is no god but He, the Lord of the Great Throne. 116 If anyone invokes, besides Allah, Any other god, he has no authority therefor; and his reckoning will be only with his Lord! and verily the Unbelievers will fail to win through! 117 Hence, [O believer,] say: "O my Sustainer! Grant [me] forgiveness and bestow Thy mercy [upon me]: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!" 118
