Say: 'O my Lord, if Thou shouldst show me that they are promised, 93 "My Lord! Then (save me from Your Punishment), and put me not amongst the people who are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing)." 94 [Pray thus] for, behold, We are most certainly able to let thee witness [the fulfillment, even in this world, of] whatever We promise them! 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best-Acquainted with the things they utter. 96 And say: My Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from suggestions of the evil ones, 97 and I seek refuge with Thee, O my Sustainer, lest they come near unto me!" 98 Until, when death comes to one of them he says: 'My Lord, let me go back, 99 so that I may do good works in the world I have left behind." Never! It is indeed but a meaningless word that he utters. A barrier shall stand behind such people till the Day they are raised up again. 100 And then no sooner the Trumpet is blown than there will remain no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask one another. 101 Only those whose scales are heavier in the balance will find happiness. 102 but if it weighs less, one will be lost forever in hell. 103 The fire will scorch their faces and they will be groaning therein in pain. 104 Were not My communications recited to you? But you used to reject them. 105 They will say, "Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray. 106 “Our Lord, remove us from hell then if we do the same, we are the unjust.” 107 He will say, "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me. 108 Surely there was a party of My servants who said: O our Lord! we believe, so do Thou forgive us and have mercy on us, and Thou art the best of the Merciful ones. 109 “So you took them for a mockery until your mocking at them made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them!” 110 [But,] behold, today I have rewarded them for their patience in adversity: verily, it is they, they who have achieved a triumph!" 111 They will be asked: "How long did you live on the earth in terms of years?" 112 They will say, "We remained a day or part of a day; ask those who enumerate." 113 God will say, "You have indeed remained there for a short time. Would that you knew it during your life time. 114 Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned?" 115 Then, exalted be God, the true King, there is no deity except Him, the Lord of the Glorious Throne. 116 One who worships things besides God has no proof of the authority of such things. God is certainly keeping the record of his deeds. The unbelievers will not have everlasting happiness. 117 So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
True are the words of God the Almighty.
