Say: "O my Lord! if Thou wilt show me (in my lifetime) that which they are warned against,- 93 exclude me from the unjust people". 94 And most surely We are well able to make you see what We threaten them with. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best-Acquainted with the things they utter. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I seek refuge in You from evil suggestions of the satans. 97 O my Lord, I seek refuge in You lest they attend me' 98 Till, when death comes to one of them, he says, 'My Lord, return me; 99 "So that I may do good in that which I have left behind!" No! It is but a word that he speaks, and behind them is Barzakh (a barrier) until the Day when they will be resurrected. 100 And when the Horn is blown, on that Day their ties of kindred shall be no more, nor will they ask each other. 101 Then, those whose scales (of good deeds) are heavy, - these, they are the successful. 102 And those whose scales are light are those who lose their souls, in hell abiding. 103 The fire burneth their faces, and they are glum therein. 104 Have not My revelations been rehearsed unto you, and them ye have been belying? 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our wretchedness overcame us, and we were (an) erring people. 106 O our Lord! take us forth from it; then if we return, we shall be wrong-doers indeed. 107 He saith: Begone therein, and speak not unto Me. 108 Verily! There was a party of My slaves, who used to say: "Our Lord! We believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of all who show mercy!" 109 But you took them in mockery to the point that they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them. 110 Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance - that they are the attainers [of success]." 111 And He will ask: 'How many years did you live on earth' 112 They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day: but ask those who keep account." 113 He will say, "You stayed not but a little - if only you had known. 114 "Did ye then think that We had created you in jest, and that ye would not be brought back to Us (for account)?" 115 [KNOW,] then, [that] God is sublimely exalted, the Ultimate Sovereign, the Ultimate Truth: there is no deity save Him, the Sustainer, in bountiful almightiness enthroned! 116 And whoever invokes with Allah another god-- he has no proof of this-- his reckoning is only with his Lord; surely the unbelievers shall not be successful. 117 And say, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, forgive us and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful." 118
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
