The Poets (Alshu'araa')

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

۞ Ta-Sin-Mim. 1 These are the verses of the perspicuous Book. 2 Perhaps you will kill yourself with grief because they do not believe. 3 If We please, We should send down upon them a sign from the heaven so that their necks should stoop to it. 4 And there cometh not unto them any fresh admonition from the Compassionate but they are wont to be therefrom backsliders. 5 So they have indeed rejected (the truth), therefore the news of that which they mock shall soon come to them. 6 Have they not seen the earth, that how many honourable pairs We have created in it? 7 Verily, in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 8 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
