The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin. Mim. 1 Those are the verses of the clear Book. 2 Wouldst thou, perhaps, torment thyself to death [with grief] because they [who live around thee] refuse to believe [in it]? 3 If We list, We can send down unto them a sign from the heaven so that their necks would become to it submissive. 4 And never does a new advice come to them from the Most Gracious, but they turn away from it. 5 For they have already denied, but there will come to them the news of that which they used to ridicule. 6 Do they not see the earth, and what beneficial kinds of things We have caused to grow in it? 7 Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. 8 truly, your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 9
