When your Lord called out to Moses, saying, "Go to the wrongdoing people, 10 The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear and take heed?" 11 He said: "My Lord! Verily, I fear that they will belie me, 12 And my breast straitens, and my tongue is not eloquent, therefore send Thou to Haroun (to help me); 13 As for me, they hold the charge of a crime against me. I fear they will put me to death." 14 Said He: "Not so, indeed! Go forth, then, both of you, with Our messages: verily, We shall be with you, listening [to your call]! 15 So go ye twain unto Fir'awn and say: verily we are the apostles of the Lord of the Worlds, 16 let the Children of Israel go with us!'" 17 Said Firaun, “Did we do not raise you amongst us, as a child? And you spent many years of your life among us!” 18 Yet you were ungrateful and have done the deed you did' 19 Moses replied: "I committed that act erringly. 20 Then I ran away from you in fear, but my Lord granted me the law and has appointed me as a Messenger. 21 "And this is the past favour with which you reproach me, that you have enslaved the Children of Israel." 22 Pharaoh said: "And who is this Lord of the Universe?" 23 (Moses) said: Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if ye had but sure belief. 24 The Pharaoh said to the people around him, "Did you hear that?" 25 (Moses continued): "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers before you." 26 (The Pharaoh) said (to his nobles): "Your apostle who has been sent to you, is certainly mad." 27 He said: The Lord of the east and the west and what is between them, if you understand. 28 Pharaoh said: "If you take any god other than me, I will certainly make you one of those (who are rotting) in prison." 29 (Moses) said: "Even though I have brought to you something convincing?" 30 Pharaoh said, "Show it then, if you are telling the truth!" 31 Then he flung down his staff and it became a serpent manifest, 32 And he drew forth his hand, thereupon it shone bright before the beholders. 33
