And when thy Lord called to Moses, 'Go to the people of the evildoers, 10 The people of Firon: Will they not guard (against evil)? 11 He answered: "O my Sustainer! Behold, I fear that they will give me the lie, 12 "And my breast straitens, and my tongue expresses not well. So send for Harun (Aaron) (to come along with me). 13 And they have a charge (of murder) against me. So I fear that they will kill me." 14 He said: Nay, verily. So go ye twain with Our tokens. Lo! We shall be with you, Hearing. 15 Go to Pharaoh, both of you, and say, 'We are messengers from the Lord of the Worlds: 16 Then send with us the children of Israel. 17 (The Pharaoh) said: "Did we not bring you up as a child? And you lived a number of years of your life with us. 18 Yet you committed the deed you did, surely you are one of the ingrates." 19 Moses replied, "I did that when I was one of the misguided, 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord bestowed on me wisdom and made me one of the sent ones. 21 And is it a favor of which you remind me that you have enslaved the children of Israel? 22 Pharaoh said, 'And what is the Lord of all Being?' 23 Musa (Moses) said: "Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, if you seek to be convinced with certainty." 24 (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Did ye not listen (to what he says)?" 25 Moses went on, "He is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers." 26 Pharaoh said to the audience: "This Messenger of yours who has been sent to you is simply mad." 27 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the East and the Lord of the West and all that lies between them, if you have sense." 28 Said [Pharaoh]: "Indeed, if thou choose to worship any deity other than me, I shall most certainly throw thee into prison! 29 Said Moosa, “Even if I bring to you something clear?” 30 Fir'awn said: forth with it then, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 31 He cast down his staff and thereupon it was a clear serpent. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo, it was white to the beholders. 33
