(Recount to them about the time) when Your Lord called Moses: "Go to the wrong-doing people, 10 The folk of Pharaoh. Will they not ward off (evil)? 11 He said: my Lord! verily I fear they shall belie me. 12 and my breast will be straitened, and my tongue will not be loosed; so send to Aaron. 13 And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they will kill me. 14 Allah said: "Nay! Go you both with Our Signs. Verily! We shall be with you, listening. 15 "So go forth, both of you, to Pharaoh, and say: 'We have been sent by the Lord and Cherisher of the worlds; 16 "'Send thou with us the Children of Israel.'" 17 (Pharaoh) said (unto Moses): Did we not rear thee among us as a child? And thou didst dwell many years of thy life among us, 18 “And you committed the deed of yours that you committed, and you were ungrateful.” 19 (Moses) replied: "I did do that and I was in the wrong, 20 "So I fled from you when I feared you. But my Lord has granted me Hukman (i.e. religious knowledge, right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood), and appointed me as one of the Messengers. 21 “And is this some great reward for which you express favour upon me – that you have enslaved the Descendants of Israel?” 22 Pharaoh said: And what is the Lord of the Worlds? 23 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, if you can believe." 24 'Do you not hear' said he (Pharaoh) to those around him. 25 Said Moosa, “Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers preceding you.” 26 Said he, 'Surely your Messenger who was sent to you is possessed!' 27 Moses continued: "(He is) the Lord of the east and the west, and all between them. If you only had any understanding!" 28 Pharaoh said, "If you take any deity other than myself, I will throw you into prison," 29 [Moses] said, "Even if I brought you proof manifest?" 30 Pharaoh said: "Then bring it if you are truthful at all." 31 So [Musa (Moses)] threw his stick, and behold, it was a serpent, manifest. 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
