And when your Lord called out to Musa, saying: Go to the unjust people, 10 The people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh). Will they not fear Allah and become righteous?" 11 He replied, "Lord, I am afraid that they will call me a liar. 12 I feel nervous and my tongue is not fluent, so send Aaron with me. 13 They have charged me [with a crime] for which I am afraid they will kill me." 14 He said: By no means, so go you both with Our signs; surely We are with you, hearing; 15 So go you to Pharaoh, and say, "Verily, I am the Messenger of the Lord of all Being; 16 Let the children of Israel go with us!'" 17 [But when Moses had delivered his message, Pharaoh] said: "Did we not bring thee up among us when thou wert a child? And didst thou not spend among us years of thy [later] life? 18 And thou didst the deed thou didst, being one of the ungrateful!' 19 Said he, 'Indeed I did it then, being one of those that stray; 20 "So I fled from you (all) when I feared you; but my Lord has (since) invested me with judgment (and wisdom) and appointed me as one of the messengers. 21 And this is the past favour wherewith thou reproachest me: that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel. 22 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "And what is the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)?" 23 [Moses] said, "The Lord of the heavens and earth and that between them, if you should be convinced." 24 'Do you not hear' said he (Pharaoh) to those around him. 25 Moses continued, "He is the Lord and the Lord of your forefathers." 26 Fir'awn said: verily your apostle who hath been sent unto you is mad. 27 He said, “The Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them; if you have sense.” 28 (The Pharaoh) said: "If you took another god apart from me I will have you incarcerated." 29 Moses said: "Even if I were to bring a Clear Sign to you?" 30 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Bring it forth then, if you are of the truthful!" 31 So he cast his staff, and behold, it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white for the observers. 33
