۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 Then Pharaoh sent heralds to the cities (to mobilise troops) 53 (Saying): "These (Israelites) are but a small band, 54 they have enraged us, 55 "But we are host all assembled, amply forewarned." 56 Thus did We drive them out of their gardens and springs 57 and treasures and a noble station; 58 Even so. And We gave them as a heritage to the children of Israel. 59 So the Firaun’s people followed them at sunrise. 60 And when the two bodies saw each other, the people of Moses said: "We are sure to be overtaken." 61 Moses said, "Certainly not. My Lord is with me and He will certainly guide me." 62 So We sent the divine revelation to Moosa that, “Strike the sea with your staff”; thereupon the sea parted; so each part was like a huge mountain. 63 And there We brought the others on, 64 And We delivered Musa and those with him together. 65 And We drowned the others. 66 Indeed in this is surely a sign, and most of them were not Muslims. 67 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 68
