۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 Then Pharaoh sent into the cities summoners, 53 (Proclaiming): "Surely they are a small band (of fugitives). 54 but they are indeed filled with hatred of us 55 But we are a numerous host, ever on guard." 56 Thus did We drive them out of their gardens and springs 57 And treasures and agreeable mansions. 58 Even so. And We gave them as a heritage to the children of Israel. 59 At sunrise, they followed them. 60 When the two forces drew within seeing distance of each other, the people of Moses said: "We shall certainly be overtaken." 61 [Musa (Moses)] said: "Nay, verily! With me is my Lord, He will guide me." 62 Then We revealed unto Musa, saying: smite thou the sea with thy staff. So it became separated, and each part was like unto a cliff mighty. 63 And We brought the others close to that place. 64 and We delivered Moses and those with him all together; 65 then We drowned the others. 66 In this [story] behold, there is a message [unto all men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 67 And yet, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 68
