The people of Noah denied the messengers 105 span class="col">Their brother Noah asked them, "Why do you not fear God? 106 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 107 "So fear Allah, and obey me. 108 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 109 Hence, remain conscious of God, and pay heed unto me!" 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in thee when it is the meanest that follow thee?" 111 He said, "And what is my knowledge of what they used to do? 112 "Their account is only with my Lord, if you could (but) know. 113 And I am not one to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said: If you desist not, O Nuh, you shall most certainly be of those stoned to death. 116 [Whereupon] he prayed: "O my Sustainer! Behold, my people have given me the lie: 117 “Therefore make a decisive judgement between me and them, and rescue me and the believers along with me.” 118 We saved him and those who were with him in a fully laden Ark, 119 and drowned the others. 120 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 121 But surely your Lord is mighty and merciful. 122
