The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 When their brother Noah said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 106 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 107 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 108 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 109 "So fear Allah, and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in thee when it is the meanest that follow thee?" 111 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they do? 112 Their account falls only upon my Lord, were you but aware. 113 And I am not one to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a clear warner' 115 They said, “O Nooh, if you do not desist you will surely be stoned.” 116 He said, “My Lord, my people have denied me.” 117 Therefore judge You between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me." 118 So We delivered him and those with him, in the Ark filled (with all creatures). 119 Then after it, We drowned the rest. 120 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not believers. 121 And indeed your Lord, only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
