The people of Noah denied the messengers 105 When their brother Noah said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 106 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust: 107 so serve you God, and obey you me. 108 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 109 So guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me. 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in you, when the meanest (of the people) follow you?" 111 He said, 'What knowledge have I of that they have been doing? 112 "Their account is only with my Lord, if ye could (but) understand. 113 I do not drive away the believers. 114 “I am not but clearly a Herald of Warning.” 115 They said, 'If thou givest not over, Noah, thou shalt assuredly be one of the stoned.' 116 He said, 'My Lord, my people have cried me lies, 117 Therefore judge You between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me." 118 We saved him and those who were with him in a fully laden Ark, 119 and drowned the rest. 120 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 121 And indeed your Lord, only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
