The people of Nooh denied the Noble Messengers. 105 when their brother Noah said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 106 I am for you an honest Messenger, 107 so serve you God, and obey you me. 108 For this I ask of you no wage, for my wage falls only on the Lord of the Worlds. 109 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in thee when it is the meanest that follow thee?" 111 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they may have been doing (in the past)? 112 Lo! their reckoning is my Lord's concern, if ye but knew; 113 Hence, I shall not drive away [any of] those [who profess to be] believers; 114 I am only a plain admonisher." 115 'Noah' they replied, 'if you do not desist you shall be of those stoned' 116 He said: my Lord! verily my people have belied me. 117 Therefore judge Thou between me and them with a (just) judgment, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. 118 And We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. 119 Then afterward We drowned the others. 120 Verily herein is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 122
