'Aad denied the messengers 123 When their brother Hud said to them: "Will you not take heed? 124 "Verily! I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 125 "So fear Allah and obey me. 126 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists). 127 Do you build over each high place a sign to amuse yourselves! 128 and make for yourselves mighty castles, [hoping] that you might become immortal? 129 When you assault, you assault like tyrants! 130 Rather keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 131 Have fear of the One who has bestowed upon you all that you know. 132 Who has provided you with flocks and children 133 And gardens and fountains; 134 'Indeed, I fear for you the chastisement of a dreadful day.' 135 They said: "It is the same to us if you warn us or do not warn. 136 This is but a custom of the ancients. 137 We are not going to be damned." 138 So they cried him lies; then We destroyed them. Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 139 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 140

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
