Ad cried lies to the Envoys 123 When their brother Hood said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 124 I am a trustworthy messenger for you: 125 So fear God and listen to me. 126 I do not ask for any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 127 "Do ye build a landmark on every high place to amuse yourselves? 128 and erect castles hoping that you will live forever. 129 When you lay hands upon anyone, you do so as tyrants. 130 Rather keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 131 Have fear of Him Who has provided you with all the (good) things you know; 132 "He has aided you with cattle and children. 133 "And gardens and springs. 134 Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a terrible day." 135 They said: it is equal unto us whether thou admonishest or art not of the admonishers. 136 your preaching is nothing but ancient legends and we shall not face any torment". 137 And we are not to be punished." 138 Then they accused him of lies; so We annihilated them. Verily there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 139 Surely, your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 140
