The people of Lot rejected the Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: "Will you not take heed? 161 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 164 What, of all creation will you go to (fornicate with) the males, 165 Leaving the consorts your Lord has made for you? But you are a people who exceed the bounds." 166 They said: "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will be expelled (from the city)." 167 He said, "I am one of those who abhors your ways. 168 My Lord! Save me and my household from what they do. 169 So We saved him and his whole family 170 except an old woman who stayed behind, 171 Thereafter We annihilated the rest. 172 And We rained on them a rain. So ill was the rain on those warned? 173 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 174 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
