The people of Lut belied the sent ones. 160 Recall, when their brother Lot said to them: "Have you no fear? 161 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 164 What, of all creation will you go to (fornicate with) the males, 165 keeping yourselves aloof from all the [lawful] spouses whom your Sustainer has created for you? Nay, but you are people who transgress all bounds of what is right!" 166 They said, 'If thou givest not over, Lot, thou shalt assuredly be one of the expelled.' 167 He said, 'Truly I am a detester of what you do. 168 My Lord, deliver me and my people from that they do.' 169 We therefore rescued him and his entire family. 170 all but an old woman, who was among those that stayed behind; 171 Then afterward We destroyed the others. 172 We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)! 173 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 Yet surely your Lord is mighty and powerful. 175
