Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 when their brother Lot said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 161 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 162 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 163 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 164 Do you approach males among the worlds 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 They said: if thou desistest not, O Lut! thou shalt surely be of those driven forth. 167 He said: "I am one of those who abhor your practice. 168 "O my Lord! deliver me and my family from such things as they do!" 169 So We delivered him and his household all. 170 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 171 Thereafter, We utterly destroyed the rest, 172 And We showered a rain upon them; so what a wretched rain for those who were warned! 173 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 174 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
