Then the people of Lot rejected the messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger. 162 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 163 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 164 Do you, of all people, approach males, 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your wives? Nay, you are a trespassing people!" 166 They said, "Lot, if you do not give up preaching, you will certainly be expelled (from this town)". 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 "My Lord! Save me and my family from what they do." 169 So We saved him and his whole family 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 And We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned. 173 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 174 your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 175
