The People of the Woods denied the Noble Messengers. 176 When Shu'eyb said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 177 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 I ask of you no wage for this; 179 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 180 ۞ "Give full measure, and cause no loss (to others). 181 Weigh on an even balance. 182 and do not deprive people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not act wickedly on earth by spreading corruption, 183 "And fear Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old." 184 They said, “You are under a magic spell.” 185 You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars. 186 Drop down on us lumps from heaven, if you are one of the truthful' 187 He said: My Lord knows best what you do. 188 Then they belied him; wherefore there laid hold of them the torment of day of shadow. Verily it was the torment of a Mighty Day. 189 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 190 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 191
