The dwellers of the forest also rejected the Messengers. 176 Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear God? 177 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 179 I do not ask any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss. 181 And weigh with the true balance. 182 And do not withhold from people what belongs to them, and do not corrupt the land; 183 and have fear of Him Who created you and the earlier generations." 184 They said, "You are no more than a bewitched and insane man 185 You are only a human being like ourselves. Indeed we think you are a liar. 186 "Now cause a piece of the sky to fall on us, if thou art truthful!" 187 He said: My Lord knows best what you do. 188 But they cried him lies; then there seized them the chastisement of the Day of Shadow; assuredly it was the chastisement of a dreadful day. 189 Verily in that is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 190 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 191
