The people of the Wood too called the messengers liars. 176 When Shuaib said to all of them, “Do you not fear?” 177 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 178 Have fear of God and obey me. 179 And I ask of you no wage for it; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ "Give just measure, and cause no loss (to others by fraud). 181 and weigh with the straight balance, 182 And defraud not people of their things, and commit not corruption on the earth. 183 "And fear Him Who created you and (who created) the generations before (you)" 184 They said: "Surely you are deluded. 185 "You are but a human being like us and verily, we think that you are one of the liars! 186 Drop down on us lumps from heaven, if you are one of the truthful' 187 He. said: My Lord is the Best Knower of that which ye work. 188 But they denied him, so there came on them the retribution of the day of gloom. Lo! it was the retribution of an awful day. 189 Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. 190 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 191
