The Companions of the Wood rejected the messengers. 176 When Shu'eyb said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 177 I am a trustworthy Messengers. 178 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 179 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ “Measure in full, and do not be of those who reduce.” 181 “And weigh with a proper balance.” 182 Wrong not mankind in their goods, and do not evil, making mischief, in the earth. 183 Have fear of the One who has created you and the generations that lived before you." 184 They said, “You are under a magic spell.” 185 thou art naught but a mortal, like us; indeed, we think that thou art one of the liars. 186 "So cause a piece of the heaven to fall on us, if you are of the truthful!" 187 He said: My Lord knows best what you do. 188 But they belied him, then the punishment of the Day of Shadow (raining fire) seized them. Truly, it was the punishment of a dreadful day. 189 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 Yet verily your Lord is mighty and merciful. 191
