The companions of the thicket denied the messengers 176 Recall, when Shuayb said to them: "Have you no fear? 177 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 178 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not cheat; 181 And weigh with a balance straight. 182 "And withhold not things justly due to men, nor do evil in the land, working mischief. 183 And guard against (the punishment of) Him who created you and the former nations. 184 They said: You are only of those deluded; 185 Thou art but a mortal like us, and lo! we deem thee of the liars. 186 Then drop down on us lumps from heaven, if thou art one of the truthful.' 187 He said, “My Lord is Well Aware of what you do.” 188 They rejected him, and then had to suffer the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom. That was indeed the punishment of an awful day. 189 Verily herein is a sign; but most of them are not believers. 190 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 191
