This, (Quran), is certainly the revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 192 the Faithful Spirit has brought it down 193 upon thy heart, that thou mayest be one of the warners, 194 In the perspicuous Arabic tongue. 195 Truly it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not a token for them that the doctors of the Children of Israel know it? 197 And if We had revealed it (this Quran) unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 In order that he read it to them, even then they would not have believed in it. 199 Even so We have caused it to enter into the hearts of the sinners, 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" 203 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 204 What do you see? If We gave them enjoyment for years, 205 and then the promised punishment fell upon them, 206 That which they were made to enjoy shall not avail them? 207 And We destroyed not a city but it had its warners. 208 To warn. For We are never unjust. 209 And the satans have not brought it down. 210 They are unworthy of it, nor can they do it. 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 Hence, [O man,] do not invoke any other deity side by side with God, lest thou find thyself among those who are made to suffer [on Judgment Day]. 213 and warn your nearest kinsmen; 214 And take those believers under your wing who follow you. 215 Then if they disobey thee, say: "I am free (of responsibility) for what ye do!" 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who observes you when you rise (to pray) 218 And your movements among those who bow in homage to God. 219 He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 [And] shall I tell you upon whom it is that those evil spirits descend? 221 They descend on every lying (one who tells lies), sinful person. 222 (Into whose ears) they pour hearsay vanities, and most of them are liars. 223 As for poets, only the wayward follow them. 224 Hast thou not seen how they stray in every valley, 225 and say things which they do not act upon, 226 Save those that believe, and do righteous deeds, and remember God oft, and help themselves after being wronged; and those who do wrong shall surely know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
