Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the chargers panting, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected 9 And the hearts' contents shall be brought into the open? 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
