This, (Quran), is certainly the revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 192 With it came down the spirit of Faith and Truth- 193 To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner 194 in the clear Arabic tongue. 195 Truly it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not a sign unto them that the learned among the Children of Isra'il know it? 197 And had We sent it down upon a person other than an Arab, 198 And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed (it would have been different). 199 Thus do We cause (unbelief) to enter the hearts of sinners. 200 who will not believe in it, until they see the painful chastisement 201 The torment will strike them suddenly without their knowledge. 202 Then they will say: Shall we be respited? 203 Would they then wish for Our Torment to be hastened on? 204 What thinkest thou? If We give them enjoyment of days for many years, 205 Yet there comes to them at length the (Punishment) which they were promised! 206 of what avail would their past enjoyment be to them? 207 Never have We destroyed a habitation till We had sent admonishers to them 208 We have never been unjust to anyone. 209 The devils did not bring it down: 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 Most surely they are far removed from the hearing of it. 212 So call not thou unto another god along with Allah, lest thou be of the doomed. 213 And warn your nearest relations, 214 and lower your wing to the believers who follow you. 215 And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing." 216 Have trust in the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 Who sees you (O Muhammad SAW) when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajjud prayers). 218 and when you turn among those who prostrate themselves. 219 Surely, He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every great accuser, extreme sinner. (The magicians) 222 They listen, but most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, the erring follow them, 224 Seest thou not that they wander distracted in every valley?- 225 and say things which they do not act upon, 226 Save those who believed and worked righteous works and remembered Allah much, and vindicated themselves after they had been wronged. And anon those who do wrong shall come to know with what a translating they shall be translated. 227
